PSO2/NGS General Errors

If your error involves a typical Windows Error Screen (Blue Screen of Death), graphics problems, or game freezing, try the General Advice below first!

If your error involves a number of some kind (ex Error 649), please use the !error ErrorNumber command in the #jp-tech-support channel.

General Advice

Update DirectX

Click "Check for Updates" on the PSO2 Tweaker.

Open PSO2 Tweaker and select Troubleshooting -> Fix Gameguard. This forcibly uninstalls GameGuard (which will be reinstalled on next game launch)

Update your drivers. All of them.

Make sure you have the latest version of your OS.

Hit `Windows Key + R` and type `ipconfig /flushdns`.

Ensure you have 5GB of free disk space on the drive PSO2 is on.

Deactivate your antivirus and firewall, graphical enhancers, and anything that might attempt to interface with PSO2.

Reduce your graphics settings.

In PSO2's Options, click "Shader Quality" and change it to Simple.

General Issues

他のアプリケーションの影響によ強制終了しました。	Game was forcibly terminated due to the influence of other applications.	Something PSO2 really doesn't like is open. Try closing programs on your computer until it works.
N/A	Game crashes and shuts down computer	This is typically an overheating problem - Try cleaning out your PC, or feeling the side of the case to see it it's really hot when it shuts down. You may have to purchase a new video card/cooling system/power supply unit.
N/A	pso2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.	Generic windows error that tells us nothing. Try the general advice at the top of this page.
N/A	Black screen after opening movie	Check that your computer meets the minimum requirements for the game. Afterwards, try the general advice at the top of this page.
N/A	Cannot see my character at character creation/character body parts are invisible	Check that your computer meets the minimum requirements for the game. Afterwards, try the general advice at the top of this page.
